Monochromatic Friend

I LOVE the new In Colors! I've heard several demonstrators say that they're having a hard time with the colors because they are so bright, but that's exactly why I love them! They're so bright and summery and happy! Here's a fun card I made with three new In Colors: Crushed Curry (yellow), Rich Razzleberry (purple), and Melon Mambo (pink).

The card design was inspired by a card I saw in the Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog (p. 32). The part I liked the most about that card was the monochromatic sentiment (i.e. "Friend" letters being cut from same card stock that it is mounted on):

I used my Big Shot and the Naturally Serif Sizzlit Decorative Strip Die for the "Friend" letters. The middle of each flower sports a Fire Circle Rhinestone Brad...adds a little something extra, don't you think? :-)

I've got a wonderful friend who moved to Arkansas about the same time Ben & I moved to Chicago. She is one of my happiest and brightest friends, so it is only fitting that I send her this bright happy card!
