Mojo Monday 122

I decided at the last minute to take advantage of the Mojo Monday sketch from last Monday:

Since I don't have any oval cutting tools, I decided to use an image instead. Making this card pulled me further out of my comfort zone than I've been for quite a while! I used Sage Shadow, a color I have literally NEVER used before. All the Sage Shadow paper that I have is in full sheets--untouched. It was actually fun to get to use a brand new color :-)

My mom had recently emailed me with this fun "faux DSP" technique that she had seen on Gretchen Barron's blog. Although this technique produces a look that I almost never use, I thought it worked well for the way I wanted this card to look. Click here to see the tutorial for this technique.

I stepped outside my comfort zone today, why don't you pull out a color that you have never used (or hardly ever use) and make something fun. Post a comment and let me know how it goes!
